Oktaria Kolnel
Founder
Hola. I'm Okta. After 4 years of teaching elementary students and observing how struggling to read affects all areas of students' learning, I have learned about the critical importance of literacy skill development, because it is the key to lifelong education. This has driven and inspired me to create this new reading room platform to support the literacy development of students in my hometown and Indonesia.

Angly Sae
Marketing Development
Hi, I'm Angly Sae. In addition to my main teaching duties, I am also entrusted with being an OSIS supervisor and literacy coach. As a teacher, I always try to be a lifelong learner. This requires me to have an extensive learning network with various study partners from different backgrounds, including mingling with the surrounding community. To develop self-knowledge and abilities, I often try to take on outside roles by joining social communities, including this KetongBaca community and team.

Hi, I'm Djiki! I am a passionate educator. I love reading, and I realized that reading has been a habit that shaped me into who I am today. The reason I decided to be involved in this community is because I believe that, together, we can help many young minds have access to vital skills, paving the way for a brighter future.
Karen Tangel
Library Database Manager
Hi, I'm Karen. I've been a teacher since 2017 and have always been interested in literacy. I believe literacy skills are crucial because they set the foundation for other skills, such as critical thinking and problem-solving. Apart from teaching, I enjoy hiking and reading. One thing I also enjoy is keeping journals, as I love writing and recording my thoughts in them.
Meilani Adangla
Event Organizer
Hi, I'm Mey. I am a teacher. After teaching for 4 years in middle school and 1 year in elementary school, I have truly seen that literacy is a crucial need for everyone, especially the younger generation today. However, the lack of reading spaces is one of the factors hindering the development of literacy, particularly in small areas of NTT (East Nusa Tenggara). The reason I joined this community is because I believe that every child has the right to receive quality knowledge. Hopefully, with the presence of Ketong Baca, especially for children in several areas of NTT, it can increase interest in literacy and serve as their window to the world, allowing them to dream bigger and, moreover, to see God's calling in their lives.
